Children can discover the enchanting locations of the fairy tale book of the same name on the 4 km long hiking trail. With the whole family you can “hike through” the fairy tale from the mountain station to Todtnau.

Arriving by car:

Todtnau is located in the southern Black Forest, in the border triangle between Germany, France and Switzerland.

Motorway A5 Karlsruhe-Basel to the Freiburg-Mitte exit, via Schauinsland or Kirchzarten, Oberried, Notschrei and in Todtnau towards Feldberg and to the signposted parking lots in Brandenbergstraße.

Or the A81 Stuttgart-Bodensee motorway to the Autobahn triangle Bad Dürrheim, Titisee, Feldberg and in Todtnau to the signposted parking lots in Brandenbergstraße.

Arrival by train:

Todtnau is not directly connected to the rail network German train connected. You can still travel comfortably by train to us in the Black Forest. In Freiburg, Kirchzarten, Zell or Titisee you can take a bus from the train station SBG change, which will bring you directly to Todtnau.

Also you can get to the starting point comfortably and easily:
From Lörrach you take the local city train number S6 and go to the final stop – “Zell, Bahnhof”, change to bus 7300 and go to Todtnau, Busbahnhof and walk 600 meters to “Hasenhorn Rodelbahn Todtnau, Lindenstraße 9, Todtnau“.

Having purchased tickets at the box office, you will ascend to the top of the mountain on a modern two-chair lift. You then follow a 2.9km route down into the valley on a sled on guide rails and set your own pace thanks to a side lever.
